On Friday, 8th December 2023, at the stroke of 11 am, the doors of Scotland’s first and largest Lush anchor store swung wide, inviting eager shoppers into a world of ethical beauty, innovative products, and rejuvenating experiences.
Nestled within one of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings, spanning an impressive 20,000 sq ft across multiple floors, this Lush haven promises a global flagship experience like no other. To celebrate, the first 250 customers through the door were treated to a surprise bag of Lush delights, a testament to the brand’s commitment to its loyal customers.
Meet Magz Macphee-David: The Heartbeat of Lush Glasgow City
At the helm of this vibrant venture is Magz Macphee-David, a seasoned retail maestro with 16 years of experience. Magz is not just a store manager; she’s a champion of open and supportive work environments, particularly for parents. Throughout the pandemic, Magz raised her two little children and her current store team has combined over 35 children of varying ages and stages.
Magz’s diverse team represents 160 members of staff from over 15 countries, with the ability to speak more than 10 languages on the shop floor, reflecting Glasgow’s multicultural charm.
Magz envisions the anchor store as a hub of customer-centric and shop-floor excellence. “We have a talented group of staff ready to serve our community, and we’re thrilled to be a part of this exciting new chapter,” she shares.
