For only two nights next year, Edinburgh will play host to one of the world’s most celebrated burlesque performers, as Dita Von Teese brings her new stage show Nocturnelle to the Playhouse.
Part of her highly anticipated UK tour, the Nocturnelle production arrives in Scotland for back-to-back performances at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February 2026 — with the newly added second date announced due to phenomenal demand.
The show is part of Von Teese’s Nocturnelle UK Tour 2026, which includes dates in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Stockton. These Edinburgh dates are the only Scottish stop on the tour.
It marks Von Teese’s return to the UK stage following her record-breaking Glamonatrix tour — a five-year global production that remains the biggest touring burlesque show of all time. This time, she’s back with an even more ambitious vision: an evening of sensuality, spectacle and illusion, inspired by the magicians of the 19th century.
“I set out to create something uniquely enchanting,” Von Teese says of Nocturnelle. “It’s the art of the Teese, plus a little trickery, and a whole lot of glitz.”

Known for pushing the boundaries of modern burlesque, Von Teese’s shows are nothing if not lavish. Expect couture costumes, cinematic set pieces, and a carefully curated cast of performers. Previous audiences have included the likes of Harry Styles, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tim Burton and Pamela Anderson — but the true magic lies in Von Teese’s ability to captivate rooms of all sizes, from intimate Las Vegas stages to Europe’s grandest theatres.
For Edinburgh audiences, the Playhouse’s grand Art Deco setting is a fitting venue — and with only two nights in Scotland, demand is expected to remain high. Both dates are part of a limited run of just eight shows across the UK.
Whether you’ve followed Von Teese for years or are simply curious about her unique brand of performance, Nocturnelle promises to be one of the more distinctive nights on the city’s cultural calendar next year.
