New event series for young founders and creatives in Scotland launches in Glasgow

Bright Minds speakers photographed inside VEGA Glasgow, featuring Scotland’s young founders and entrepreneurs from Dussl, Loop Jewellery and Quas Drinks, launching Quine Magazine’s new event series for young founders and creatives.

Created by Quine Magazine, Bright Minds is a new event series designed to bring together Scotland’s young founders, entrepreneurs, creatives and leaders. The series provides a space for ambitious individuals in their twenties and thirties — and younger — to connect, collaborate and share real experiences of building something from the ground up.

Quine Magazine’s founder and editor, Gemma Meek, said:

“There are very few spaces in Scotland where ambitious young people at a similar stage of life can connect, share experiences and find collaborators. Bright Minds was created to change that — it’s where building your business feels less lonely, and where you can find your people.”

The launch event

Our first event explores “Life as a Young Founder” — an honest conversation about what it’s really like to start a business in your 20s and 30s. From the excitement of getting started to the challenges of learning on your feet, our panel of founders will share the highs, lows, and the lessons that make a difference.

Expect practical tips, candid stories, and the chance to ask your own questions.

For businesses and freelancers, VEGA offers flexible spaces that go beyond the usual meeting room. From Central View, a light-filled private space overlooking the city, to semi-private areas and exclusive hire for networking or presentations, it’s set up for everything from board meetings to brand launches. There’s also co-working from 8am daily, with super-fast WiFi, plenty of charging points, great coffee and energising snacks, making it one of Glasgow’s most stylish places to ditch the office.

When it comes to downtime, VEGA leans into fun. Think cocktail menus curated by guest bartenders at the U-Bar, karaoke parties, or late-night bowling lanes. It’s a destination that balances productivity and play — the ideal backdrop for Bright Minds and for a new generation of Scotland’s founders looking to mix business with community.
