If you love whisky, gin, beer and local food, visit Distilled for the ultimate weekend in Speyside. Taking place on Friday and Saturday at Elgin Town Hall, the annual event will showcase the best of Speyside’s vibrant food and drink scene, with over half of Scotland’s distilleries participating alongside small, craft producers. You’ll have a chance to sample the finest spirits and beers, learn from master distillers, sip creative cocktails and enjoy delicious dishes from local favourites.

Iconic Scottish fashion brand, Isolated Heroes, is holding a pop-up shop, launching on Thursday evening (31st August) at Princes Square Shopping Centre. The independent fashion label’s new Autumn/Winter 2023 collection is inspired by 90’s punk, and features tartan fabrics and safety pins alongside Isolated Heroes’ signature sequins. The pop-up shop will also feature exclusive earrings from UK brand ‘EARSASS’.

The pop-up shop will be open daily from the 1st to the 10th of September.

Bute Yard Market on the Isle of Bute is dog-friendly and free-to-attend market that showcases the best taste and talent the island has to offer. You can expect to find the best local food, small batch drinks, art and crafts from various vendors and producers. You can also treat yourself to drinks, tastings and tours at the on-site brewery, distillery and bar, or indulge in some award-winning smoked salmon, trout and kippers from the heritage smokehouse.

Fan of whisky or curious to learn more about it? You’ll love Johnnie Walker’s signature Journey of Flavour tour that runs every weekend on Princes Street. Enjoy a 90-minute, full-sensory tour of the history behind Johnnie Walker including three drinks tailored to your flavour preferences. You’ll also get to explore the rooftop terrace with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle and the city skyline.

Edinburgh bakery, Twelve Triangles, offers a dining concept called ‘Kitchen Table’ that celebrates seasonal ingredients and fantastic suppliers. Running Monday to Sunday at their Easter Road location, Kitchen Table is the concept of coming together to share incredible food, conversations and community. Everything is made by them, from the basics of bread, butter and jam to pickles, ferments and ice creams. You can choose from a variety of dishes that showcase their passion for baking and cooking, such as Bombay potatoes, filled focaccia sandwiches, roasted cauliflower salad and affogato. You can also enjoy their freshly roasted coffee or organic wine while sitting at their large communal table with other food lovers.
