River Island is so good right now, and one particular set has caught my eye – and gone straight home with me. I love a good suit or co-ord year-round, but especially in autumn/winter when you can get more wear out of them and layer them up with skinny knits, oversized coats, even a bit of lace – there are just so many ways to style it.
When it comes to suits, I usually have to shop petite – I’m under 5’4 – but I always find River Island pieces to be a perfect fit without any alterations, which is such a win.
I tried this navy pinstripe blazer and matching trousers in store as part of River Island’s new season drop and instantly fell in love. The cocoon-sleeve blazer feels expensive (but isn’t) and the low-waist trousers give it that effortless, slightly undone vibe that works just as well with trainers as it does with heels.
