James, Ewan McVicar, Annie Mac, and Happy Mondays to headline Pavilion Festival 2025—Scotland’s biggest seaside party

Pavilion Festival Main Stage Ayr Beach Scotland

Fancy sun, sand, and an incredible lineup of live acts and DJs, all soundtracked by the rhythm of waves crashing in the background? If that sounds like your kind of weekend, this is one to mark on your calendar. Returning to Ayr Beach from 2nd to 4th May, Pavilion Festival delivers a curated lineup of Britpop legends, world-class DJs, and underground icons—all set against the idyllic backdrop of Scotland’s coastline. Whether you’re a die-hard indie fan, house music devotee, or nostalgic raver, this three-day event has something for you.

A festival with a difference

Forget muddy fields and long bar queues, everything at Pavilion Festival is designed for a smooth, hassle-free experience. Whether you’re here for the music, the atmosphere, or just to soak up the seaside vibes, you’ll find plenty to love. Pavilion Festival is built for immersive experiences and uninterrupted vibes. This year, organisers have levelled up with improved sound, a bigger stage, and the brand-new Electric Brae Big Top—a 5,000-capacity tent designed to keep the energy high, no matter what the Scottish weather decides to do.

Beyond the vibrant lights, crisp sound, and seamless setup, Pavilion Festival offers the perfect space to get lost in the music, connect with friends, and create unforgettable memories. This year’s lineup blends indie anthems, euphoric house, and legendary rave culture. It’s set to be one of Scotland’s most anticipated festivals.

Saturday, 3rd May: Ewan McVicar & pals take over Pavilion Festival

By day two, the festival transforms into a full-scale dancefloor, curated by Scotland’s own Ewan McVicar. Expect pulse-raising house and techno from some of the most in-demand DJs. With beats rolling from sunset to sunrise, Saturday is Pavilion’s most high-energy day yet:

  • Ewan McVicar – Pavilion Festival’s co-founder and the man behind ‘Tell Me Something Good’
  • Annie Mac – BBC Radio 1 icon and master selector
  • Ben Hemsley – Bringing euphoric highs and deep, rolling basslines
  • DJ Seinfeld – Swedish lo-fi house genius
  • Sally C – Expect groove-heavy, high-energy house music

If you prefer your beats a little darker and deeper, the Sub Club Stage will host:

  • Robert Hood – Detroit techno royalty
  • Optimo – The legendary Glasgow duo with a genre-spanning set

Sunday, 4th May: Pavilion Festival closes with a legendary rave reunion

By the time Sunday winds down, you’ll be leaving with aching feet, a buzzing heart, and a weekend full of unforgettable moments. The final day is a masterclass in dance music history, with STREETrave taking over to celebrate the golden age of rave. If you love classic house, acid grooves, and that euphoric ‘90s energy, Sunday is for you.

  • Happy Mondays – The baggy legends themselves, still bringing the chaos
  • STREETrave Classical – A 35-piece orchestra reimagining dance anthems
  • Danny Rampling – One of the original Balearic house pioneers
  • A Guy Called Gerald – The man behind ‘Voodoo Ray’
  • Shades of Rhythm – Serving up old-school rave anthems
