Trinny London Harvey Nichols Edinburgh best products

The launch of the first Trinny London physical counter in Scotland at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh a few months ago was a long-awaited moment for Scottish fans of the brand.

I’ve followed Trinny Woodall’s Instagram journey since she started building the brand and finding her feet as a social media-age lifestyle guru. Watching her transition from the makeover expert I grew up with on What Not to Wear to the founder of a game-changing beauty brand has been so inspiring.

When it comes to makeup recommendationsTrinny London is always at the top of my list—and for good reason.

A full face of my favourite Trinny London products, including Just A Touch Foundation & Concealer in Lulu, Flush Blush in Wiggs, Eye2Eye shades Star & Chalice, Lash2Brow Mascara, and BFF Eye Concealer.

Anyone who knows me personally knows I’m never without my stack—I’m constantly being asked, “What’s that?!” whenever I whip it out in front of someone for the first time. The concept still continues to impress me (and everyone else).

If you aren’t familiar with the product line or the brand, the unique selling point is its clever, stackable packaging. Each product comes in a handy pot that twists and clicks together to form a compact “stack,” making them perfect for on-the-go makeup. Everything is cream-based, easy to use, and designed to suit real, busy lifestyles.

As an early adopter, my stack has grown to towering heights—a true testament to how much I adore these products. It’s the type of brand that, once you try, you’re hooked—and suddenly, you’re a lifelong customer.

This sense of loyalty is at the heart of the brand—the famous Trinny Tribe. It’s more than just a customer base; it’s a group of loyal fans who’ve connected over their shared love of the products and Trinny herself.

From Facebook groups to Instagram comments, the Tribe is filled with real people sharing tips, reviews, and endless enthusiasm for the brand—and for each other. They offer advice, encouragement, and have even gone on to build real-life friendships.

There’s a real sense of community that makes Trinny London feel more than just a beauty brand—it’s something you genuinely want to be part of.

What are the best Trinny London makeup products?

One of my first purchases was Lip2Cheek in shade Lady J (£26)—and it’s still my all-time favourite cheek product. It even made it into my list of all time favourite beauty products. There’s barely a scraping left in the pot, and I’m definitely picking up a fresh one soon.

It’s the ultimate multi-tasker, creating a fresh, natural flush while doubling as a lip tint. There’s something so chic about having matching cheek and lip colours. It pulls a look together beautifully while leaving room to go bold on the eyes.

Inspired by a smoky eye look Trinny herself created with her makeup artist, John Corcoran, some of my first eye products were Eye2Eye in shades Star (£20), Chalice (£20), and a smoky black tone (unfortunately discontinued)—a combination that remains my go-to.

The Eye2Eye cream-based eyeshadows are honestly some of the best on the market. You simply can’t mess them up, even if you try! Just a few swipes and pats with your finger, and you’ve got a beautifully blended look.

For extra staying power, I like to prep my lids with Miracle Blur (£28). Officially described as a “skin-smoothing miracle,” it’s a clever cream-based primer that blurs pores, reduces shine, and smooths the skin—giving that flawless finish whether used under foundation or eyeshadow.

A clever double-ended product that’s perfect for saving space in your makeup bag is Lash2Brow (£29). On one end, you’ll find a tinted eyebrow gel in your chosen shade, which has excellent staying power and effortlessly fills in sparse brows for a fuller, natural look. On the other end, there’s a fantastic mascara that’s ideal for natural everyday wear but can be easily built up for a more dramatic effect.

One of the standout products for me is the Just A Touch Foundation and Concealer Duo (£32). I use the lightest shade, Lulu—it provides just the right amount of coverage without ever feeling cakey or heavy.

I love applying this with the Complexion T-Brush (£28)—a dense, super-soft foundation brush that makes application quick and seamless. It’s a well-made, worth-the-money investment for any foundation or complexion product.

Probably the most popular Trinny London product, the BFF Cream SPF30 (£41) is the ultimate all-rounder. Need something quick before running out? BFF. Gym day and your skin’s not cooperating? BFF. A radiant base under foundation for all-day wear? BFF. It’s hydrating, glowy, and comes with built-in SPF, making it the perfect multitasker.

And for the undereyes, the BFF Eye Serum Concealer (£29) deserves a mention. The cooling applicator tip instantly wakes up tired eyes, de-puffing and brightening the area without heavy coverage—just enough to leave you looking refreshed and well-rested.

Moving on to cheeks—the Flush Blush (£24) is perfect for achieving that post-Pilates glow. I love the shade Wiggs for its pretty pink tone, which gives a fresh, natural flush.

On to lips—Lip Glow (£17) is perfect for adding a glossy finish over your lip colour or wearing on its own.

Sheer Shimmer (£26) adds a subtle, luminous glow and doubles as a highlighter or a dewy, glossy-style blush. Both are hydrating, blend seamlessly with other shades, and provide a long-lasting sheen.

My Trinny stack has pretty tall over the years, but my on-the-go makeup bag has never been smaller. A four-product stack, a mirror, and a couple of brushes are all I need!

Is Trinny London’s skincare any good?

And let’s talk skincare. At one point, Trinny London was all I used in my skincare routine, and honestly, I might go back. It’s just so reliable, and for the price point, you really get some bang for your buck.

The skincare products are refillable, so once you’ve finished your first bottle, you can simply order a refillable tube—and even save a few pounds in the process.

The best part? Using their Match2Me technology online, you can get a personalised skincare routine in seconds. This is perfect if, like me, you want effective products without the minefield of sifting through endless options, wondering if any of them are actually right for you.

Let’s start with the cleanse – the Be Your Best Enzyme Balm Cleanser (£34) is chef’s kiss. Not only does it leave your skin glowing, but the scent is so divine they need to bottle it into a candle, a perfume, a room spray—anything, really—and I’d buy it all.

Pro tip: warm it up between your fingers, take a deep breath of the calming aroma, and feel your day melt away.

For my oily-skinned pals, Find Your Balance BHA Exfoliant (£38) is a gentle powerhouse. It works to smooth texture, clear congestion, and balance oil production. With ingredients like salicylic acid, mandelic acid, and soothing ginger, it’s perfect for skin that needs a bit of maintenance without being overly harsh.

The Match2Me experience at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh

Beyond the innovative (and just really cool) stacking products, another standout feature of Trinny London is their Match2Me tool. If you’re unsure which shades or products are right for you, this clever bit of tech analyses your skin tone, hair colour, and even eye colour to recommend the most flattering options.

It’s all about making makeup personal and intuitive—and if you pop into the Harvey Nichols counter in Edinburgh, the team will guide you through your own Match2Me in person.

They even provide a colour analysis so you can shop with complete confidence, knowing you’re walking away with the shades that truly suits your complexion.

If you’re new to the brand, getting a Match2Me consultation at the counter in Edinburgh is a must-try.

So, is Trinny London worth it?

If you love quick, effective, and fuss-free makeup, then Trinny London is absolutely worth it. The stackable packaging, personalised colour matching, and high-performance formulas make it stand out from other beauty brands.

It’s convenient, well-designed, and, most importantly, the products deliver results. Whether you’re looking for a new foundation, a long-lasting cream blush, an effortless eyeshadow, or a skincare essential that truly improves your skin, there’s something in the range for everyone.
