New restaurant and bar openings in Glasgow are getting better and better — and the launch of SíSí Rooftop is another sign the city centre is back in its groove. Expect bold flavours, mezcal cocktails, and panoramic views across the city. Here’s everything you need to know.

A new rooftop bar in Glasgow’s Merchant City? Sí, please
Sitting eight floors up in the newly developed Candleriggs Square, SíSí Rooftop is the latest addition to The Social Hub Glasgow — the hybrid hotel-meets-community-hub that opened last year and has already become a creative go-to for students, freelancers, and travellers alike.
Now, perched on top, comes a new rooftop bar and restaurant that blends Mexican-American flavours with a laid-back, high-style setting. There’s space for 160 guests (100 inside, 60 outside), and it’ll be open from 12pm until 1am — making it just as suited to an impromptu lunch as it is to cocktails at golden hour or a full Glasgow night out with the girls.
The food & drink offering
SíSí’s menu is built around sustainably sourced produce and a selection of small sharing plates that feel designed for group dining without the faff. Highlights include hand-dived scallop ceviche verde and a steak tartare tostada, alongside indulgent desserts and elevated bar snacks.
Over at the bar, the drinks list leans into its Latin-American influence with mezcal margaritas, green bloody marias, and a mezcal paloma that’s already got our attention. There’s also an extensive wine list and a mix of local and imported beers on draught — ideal for sipping on the terrace as the sun sets over the Merchant City.

The vibe
The interiors feel polished but playful — with textured seating, leafy touches, and natural light pouring in from floor-to-ceiling windows. Overhead, a bold ceiling mural bursting with colour and spiritual iconography nods to Latin American pop art — and is easily the most eye-catching part of the space, pulling the whole space together.
There’ll be a regular line-up of DJ sets and live music to keep things buzzy from day to night – whether you’re stopping by for a quiet cocktail or heating up for a big one.
Glasgow city centre is finding its cool again, with a string of new openings in recent years that are really starting to elevate the nightlife scene. From House of Gods to MARGO and SEBBS, there’s a growing sense that town is having a bit of a moment — and SíSí Rooftop fits right in. It’s stylish and cool without being intimidating, the kind of place you’d go for a date, a catch-up with your best friend, or just because it’s Thursday and you feel like dressing up.
