On daily routines…

Can you talk us through your daily skincare routine from morning to night?

In the morning, I begin with the ZO Exfoliating Cleanser, followed by the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic, which I believe is the best vitamin C serum on the market. Next, I apply the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Moisturiser and finish with Heliocare SPF 50 for sun protection.

At night, I perform a double cleanse with the ZO Exfoliating Cleanser. After cleansing, I use the ZO Wrinkle and Texture Repair 0.5% Retinol, followed by the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Moisturiser, and finish with the ZO Growth Factor Eye Serum.

My journey into skincare began when I worked at Grace Belgravia, a private members’ club in London. That experience opened my eyes to the benefits of medical-grade skincare and how it can significantly improve overall skin health. Introducing SPF into my routine was a game-changer, and I noticed a remarkable difference in my skin within just a few weeks.

On facials…

Do you get regular facials? What is your go-to facial treatment at the clinic and what are the main benefits you’ve noticed from your favourite facials?

I don’t get facials as often as I’d like due to my busy schedule, but ideally, I’d love to have one every month. My go-to facial is the Hydrafacial because it’s thorough, addressing a range of concerns from exfoliation to hydration, leaving my skin feeling plump, dewy, and deeply cleansed. I also love the Oxy Light treatment for special events, as it gives my skin a sculpted, glowing, and hydrated look. It’s an incredible treatment that I wish I could fit into my schedule more often.

What is the Oxy Light Facial, and how does it achieve a ‘filtered skin’ look?

The Oxy Light Facial is a luxurious six-step treatment that includes diamond dermabrasion, lymphatic drainage, oxygen infusion, bio-sonic ultrasound, M.I. light microcurrent, and LED light therapy with ionised oxygen. Each step targets different skin concerns, such as tightening, brightening, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The combination of these modalities results in a rejuvenated and youthful appearance, perfect for those focused on anti-ageing. The ‘filtered skin’ look is achieved through the synergy of these steps, offering both relaxation and incredible results.

Who is the Oxy Light Facial suitable for?

This treatment is ideal for those focusing on anti-ageing, skin rejuvenation, and overall skin health. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to look their best while enjoying a luxurious and relaxing experience. The Oxy Light Facial effectively tightens the skin, brightens the complexion, and addresses concerns like laxity and fine lines. It’s an excellent choice for those who want to treat themselves and see significant results.

You have recently introduced the MOXI facial to the clinic, can you tell us more about it?

MOXI is a non-ablative resurfacing treatment with minimal downtime. It works by creating micro-coagulation zones in the skin, which the body repairs by replacing damaged cells with healthy, vibrant skin. After the treatment, you might experience some dryness and initial redness, but these effects fade quickly. MOXI is great for those looking to improve skin quality without the downtime associated with more invasive procedures. Investing in treatments like MOXI can lay a strong foundation for your skin, potentially reducing the need for injectables or other treatments in the future.

On cleansing…

How important is cleansing in a skincare routine?

Cleansing is crucial because it removes the day’s buildup of makeup, SPF, and other impurities. I recommend double cleansing at night, especially if you wear makeup and SPF, to ensure all products are thoroughly removed. This helps prevent congestion, blackheads, and breakouts. The type of cleanser you use can vary depending on the season and your skin type. For example, in summer, a more hydrating cleanser is beneficial, while in winter, an exfoliating cleanser might be necessary to remove dead skin.

On at-home treatments…

How do you incorporate at-home facial treatments into your routine?

I’m a big fan of the Lyma Laser, which is much more effective than typical at-home LED lights. Consistency is key, so I use it every evening. I also love a good mandelic peel, which works well for my skin. Gua Sha is another favourite—it’s great for reducing puffiness and revitalising tired skin. I usually do a peel every two weeks, use the Lyma Laser daily, and incorporate Gua Sha once or twice a week.

On serums and moisturisers….

What are your go-to serums for daytime and nighttime, and what skin concerns do they address?

I’m really excited about Biologique Recherche, which we’re about to launch in our clinics. I’ve used some of their serums over the years, and they’re incredible. But my staple is the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic, which has 15% L-ascorbic acid, the purest form of vitamin C. It’s a patented formulation and my go-to for daytime. Another favourite is the SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier, which can be used any time of day. For moisturisers, I absolutely love the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Moisturiser—it’s the best I’ve ever used.

If you could only use one product for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would be SPF because SPF and retinol are the only two products with proven anti-ageing benefits.

What’s your favourite sunscreen?

I’d choose the Heliocare Factor 50 SPF. I’ve also been using Heliocare Tinted SPF for nearly ten years. I love it because it doubles as a foundation, providing coverage while protecting my skin from the sun. If you prefer a non-tinted option, the SkinCeuticals Advanced Brightening SPF is another great choice. It helps reduce pigmentation while protecting your skin.

On tweakments…

How do you feel about the trend of tweakments, and what are the most popular ones at The Aesthetics Club?

I love the rise of tweakments because they represent what aesthetics should be—subtle enhancements rather than dramatic changes. People want to look like themselves, just fresher, more rested, and healthier. Our most popular treatments include anti-wrinkle injections, which, when done right, can be very subtle and refreshing. We also do a lot of Ameela Polynucleotide treatments, which stimulate collagen and elastin production, providing unique protection against pollution and ageing. These treatments help clients look their best without looking ‘done.’

On lips and eyes…

What are your favourite eye and lip care products?

For eye care, I love the ZO Growth Factor Serum. It’s one of the few eye creams I’ve used that genuinely reduces lines and wrinkles. I keep it in the fridge and apply it in the evenings. For lip care, the SkinCeuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair is my go-to because it’s super hydrating and nourishing.

On in-clinic skincare…

You have recently introduced Biologique Recherche to your clinic, can you tell us more about the brand?

I’ve always loved their products and have tried many of their hero products over the years. They offer an amazing exfoliating treatment called P50, which I’m excited to offer to clients. I wanted to bring something unique and aligned with our brand—luxurious yet results-driven, which is rare to find. Biologique Recherche is selective about their partnerships, so it’s flattering that they chose to work with us. I’m looking forward to introducing more of their products and exploring new possibilities with them.

What other products do you use in your clinic?

In addition to Biologique Recherche, we use ZO Skin Health, which is excellent for acne-prone skin. We’ve also used SkinCeuticals for years, as their products are backed by evidence and well-tolerated by clients. These brands provide fantastic results, and we’re proud to offer them in our clinics.

On lessons and advice…

What’s your advice for someone getting started with their skincare routine, and what products should they prioritise or splurge on?

I believe you don’t need to spend a fortune on cleansers and moisturisers. Save your money for ‘correcting’ or ‘treatment’ products that target specific concerns like acne, pigmentation, or dryness. Invest in products that will make a noticeable difference and complement them with more budget-friendly cleansers and moisturisers. For moisturisers, hydration is key, and there are plenty of affordable options that don’t compromise on quality.

What valuable skincare lessons have you learned over the years?

Patience is key, as skin can be temperamental and sensitive. It’s important to take time to understand each client’s skin and how it responds to products and treatments. Establishing a treatment and product plan early on is crucial. Often, less is more—many people use too many products without understanding them. It’s about finding the right balance and using high-quality products that deliver results without overwhelming the skin.

What’s your best piece of anti-ageing advice?

Avoid the four S’s: sun, smoking, sugar, and stress. Wearing SPF and not smoking are the top two pieces of advice, but managing stress and reducing sugar intake are also crucial for maintaining healthy, radiant skin.
