On Thursday, 19th September, Edinburgh’s favourite Twelve Triangles bakery is teaming up with the amazing chef, food writer, and food stylist Rosie MacKean for a ‘Good Time Cooking’ dinner party at Kitchen Table by Twelve Triangles to celebrate Rosie’s debut cookbook, Good Time Cooking, which is all about making entertaining easy, fun, and seriously delicious.

The Menu:

Twelve Triangles sourdough, ham butter

Brown shrimp, iceberg and watercress salad

Beef shin pie, colcannon

Marmalade and sourdough sponge, custard

This four-course feast takes you through some of the ‘Best of British’ dishes from Rosie’s book. Kick things off with Twelve Triangles’ iconic sourdough and ham butter, move on to a fresh and zingy brown shrimp salad, then settle into the main event: a comforting beef shin pie with colcannon. And for dessert? A warm, nostalgic marmalade and sourdough sponge topped with custard that’s sure to hit the spot.

It’s a BYOB affair, so bring your favourite wine, beer, or whatever suits your fancy. This dinner party is all about relaxed vibes and great food, without the stress.

Rosie’s cookbook, Good Time Cooking, is your go-to guide for effortless entertaining. With over 90 recipes spread across 20 vibrant menus, she’s got you covered for every occasion—from date-night dinners to that first BBQ of the summer.

Each menu is crafted to make your life easier, with curated time plans and prep tips that let you shine in the kitchen without breaking a sweat. Whether it’s ‘The Game is On One’ with Scotch Bonnet, Honey and Lime Wings and Chocolate Cream Pie, or ‘The Two Hours Notice One’ with Rigatoni Ai Quattro Formaggi and Raspberry, Orange and Campari Pavlova, Rosie’s dishes are all about impressing your guests while keeping things simple and stress-free.
