For one night only next year, Edinburgh will play host to one of the world’s most celebrated burlesque performers, as Dita Von Teese brings her new stage show Nocturnelle to the Playhouse.
Part of an exclusive eight-date UK tour, the Edinburgh performance is set for Friday 13 February 2026, with tickets on sale from Friday 6 June.
It marks Von Teese’s first UK appearance since Glamonatrix — a five-year, record-breaking production that remains the biggest touring burlesque show of all time. This time, she’s back with a more ambitious vision: an evening of sensuality, glamour and illusion, inspired by the magicians of the 19th century.
“I set out to create something uniquely enchanting,” Von Teese says of Nocturnelle. “It’s the art of the Teese, plus a little trickery, and a whole lot of glitz.”

Known for pushing the boundaries of modern burlesque, Von Teese’s shows are nothing if not lavish. Expect couture costumes, cinematic set pieces, and a carefully curated cast of performers. Previous audiences have included the likes of Harry Styles, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tim Burton and Pamela Anderson — but the true magic lies in Von Teese’s ability to captivate rooms of all sizes, from intimate Las Vegas stages to Europe’s grandest theatres.
For Edinburgh audiences, this will be a rare chance to see her work up close. The Playhouse’s Art Deco surroundings offer an ideal backdrop for the show’s vintage-meets-modern aesthetic, and as the tour’s only Scottish date, it’s likely to draw burlesque fans from across the country.
Whether you’ve followed Von Teese for years or are simply curious about her unique brand of performance, Nocturnelle promises to be one of the more distinctive nights on the city’s cultural calendar next year.
