Dubarry of Ireland is making its Scottish debut later this month, opening a brand-new store at 54 George Street, right in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town.
If you thought country clothing was twee, think again. Dubarry is the premium Irish heritage brand that’s as chic in the city as it is in the stables – known for its iconic Galway Country Boots, sleek Deck Shoes and timeless country-luxe style.

The new Edinburgh store will bring the full Dubarry experience north of the border, complete with polished wooden panelling, antique furniture and vintage rugs. Collections are designed to flatter – think mini kilts, beautifully cut shooting coats in modern silhouettes and wearable colour-ways, plus country-ready separates to pair with crisp white shirts. And, of course, the boots that made them famous.
Founded in 1937 in County Galway, Dubarry made history as the first globally licensed GORE-TEX® leather sailing boot brand and has been blending performance and style ever since. Already loved in London, Cheltenham and Dublin, this expansion feels like a natural fit for Edinburgh’s outdoorsy crowd.
With Dubarry a regular exhibitor at the Royal Highland Show, its first Scottish flagship is set to become a destination for shoppers looking for pieces that last – and look good doing it.
