If your Instagram was flooded this past summer with sage green matcha in minimalist cups, you’re already familiar with Blank Street’s signature aesthetic. Known for their Gen Z-adored ‘Iced Blueberry Matcha,’ the brand has become a must-visit stop for Scots travelling to London. But now, the wait is over—Blank Street is bringing its viral coffee & matcha experience to Scotland.
From humble beginnings as a coffee truck in Brooklyn in 2020, Blank Street has quickly risen to prominence, renowned for its beautifully designed spaces and collaborations with stars like Sabrina Carpenter. Now, Edinburgh is the latest destination in their global expansion.
To mark the occasion, Blank Street is hosting an immersive tram stop pop-up on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th January to celebrate the opening of its first Scottish store on Victoria Street.
All aboard the Blank Street Express Line
The Blank Street Express Line pop-up, which will be located at the intersection of Princes Street and Castle Street, is coming to brighten up Edinburgh’s January commutes. Visitors can enjoy complimentary drinks, choosing between the viral Iced Blueberry Matcha Latte—a favourite for its vibrant, fresh flavour—or the creamy and warming Daydream Latte.
With cosy seating and plenty of photo opportunities, the pop-up offers a perfect pause in the middle of a bustling day. Visitors will also receive a ticket that can be redeemed for a discount at Blank Street’s two Edinburgh locations: Victoria Street (opening 25th January) and Princes Street (opening February).

When is Blank Street opening in Edinburgh?
Blank Street’s first store in Edinburgh will officially open its doors on 25th January 2025 on Victoria Street. A second location on Princes Street is set to follow in February, expanding the brand’s footprint in Scotland.
