Your exclusive invitation to hear from the team behind The Tattooist of Auschwitz in Glasgow

Do you work in media and entertainment, are you interested in pursuing a career in this exciting industry, or do you simply love TV and books? Then we’d love for you to join us at an exclusive event featuring Heather Morris, the global best-selling author of The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and BAFTA-winning Executive Producer Claire Mundell, founder of Glasgow-based Synchronicity Films. This is a unique opportunity to hear them discuss how they adapted this extraordinary literary sensation into an internationally acclaimed TV series.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz is a moving and unforgettable true story. It follows Lali Sokolov, a Slovakian Jew who, in 1942, was deported to Auschwitz, the Nazi concentration camp where over a million Jews perished. While tattooing prisoner numbers on fellow inmates, he met Gita, sparking a love that defied unimaginable horrors. Their courageous love story became one of survival and hope in the darkest of places.

Earlier this year, the multi-Emmy-nominated Sky and Peacock Original series based on The Tattooist of Auschwitz took the world by storm. Starring Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, and Jonas Nay, the series features music by Academy Award-winner Hans Zimmer, with a special contribution by Barbra Streisand.

Claire Mundell said: “We’re thrilled to be joined by Heather Morris for this special event in my hometown of Glasgow. It promises to be a wonderful afternoon whether you’ve read the book or are thinking about watching the series on Sky.”

This exclusive event will give you a unique behind-the-scenes look at how Heather and Claire brought this compelling story from page to screen, followed by an intimate Q&A session hosted by avid reader and broadcaster Heather Suttie.
