Let’s be honest, most networking events are a drag. Speaker Sessions at VEGA
If you’re passionate about music and want to learn more about the behind-the-scenes of the music industry, Speaker Sessions at VEGA, is happening on Thursday 13 July from 11am to 12.30pm.
The free event will feature a panel discussion with some of the most successful and influential people in the Scottish music scene, including award-winning artist Bemz, publicist and owner of Electric Shores Publicity Jenn Nimmo-Smith, photographer Euan Robertson, and co-founder of Tenement TV and Tenement Trail Festival Nadine Walker.
The panel will be hosted by Capital Scotland’s Katy Johnston, who will ask the guests about their career journeys, their challenges and achievements, and their tips and advice for aspiring music professionals. You’ll also have the chance to ask your own questions and network with the speakers and other attendees.
This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the most influential figures in the Scottish music scene, and to gain valuable insights and connections that could help you advance your own career.

Work @ VEGA ‘In The Mix’
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your work life and make some new friends in the process, you’ll want to check out Work @ VEGA ‘In The Mix’, happening on Tuesday 25 July from 6pm to 8pm. It’s certainly not your typical networking event, though. It’s more like a party, with great music, drinks, games, and surprises. It’s a chance to have a bit of fun during the working week whilst making connections with other young professionals and creatives.
Enjoy a free cocktail when you arrive, a local live DJ will be supplying the soundtrack and you can also have your career tarot read by Jade Mordente, the psychic who can help you find your true calling. How cool is that?
